about
I'm proud to present to you 'Lucky Kid'. This is the official release of my newest record, and the first in a series of single releases over the coming weeks, which will make up a 10 song album.
This track has had quite the journey, from my humble recording studio in the central highlands of Bali, over to Amsterdam through an Ampex tape machine at Lullabye Recording Studio for some extra grit and colour, and then back again for mastering. Much thanks to the folks over there, it was a successful experiment.
Thanks for listening and please feel free to write a review and share it forward.

Huge thanks to Brooke Reidt for the album artwork.
Much love and thank you for your support!

lyrics
I’m from a small town called lake,
I’ve got family, but I’m so far away,
If I went out into the city tonight,
I’d pour my pockets into a payphone, under the highway.
And I can’t explain why I had to go,
Sometimes you know when you’ve got to go it alone,
I traveled to the southern lights,
Searching around in the star filled nights,
And I take or all I have to give,
I’m fortunate, I’m a lucky kid.
Surrounded in a house of forest and vines,
And the people here are so often kind,
It’s been a while since I’ve wrote back,
Well I’ve been moving house and sitting on the fence,
I’ve been to places they use in films,
Drive whole states in borrowed automobiles,
So call me up if you want to know,
There’s always coffee, next to my telephone.
So call me up if you want to know,
Sometimes you know when you’ve got to go it alone,
And I take for all I have to give,
I’m fortunate, I’m a lucky kid.
